My New Website

Tongue Drum
Just released this morning this is a great mobile version of Steve Roberts Tongue Drums. I actually have one of his Tongue Drums and I was really excited to find this in an iPhone/iPod Touch version. I love it! You have your choice of mallets and tones. I have a lot of music apps on my idevices ..... many of which I will eventually get into my blog but I couldn't resist getting this one on my blog right away because I am so jazzed about it. The really good part is that it's only 99 cents (at least for now).

Peggle
Just about one of the most addicting games I've ever played on the iPhone. I'm not going to begin to describe this game so please just click the link and read the application description as well as the 1,000 (and growing) reviews. All I can say is that all the positive reviews on this game are true. Worth the price .... trust me.

Uggles
Uggles is a fun and casual game of juggling. Excellent use of the accelerometer. There's 3 levels of difficulty with the easiest being to juggle 1 Uggle and the hardest to juggle 3. Seems simple but the more Uggles you catch ... the faster it gets. This really is a lot of fun and the graphics are great & you do have a small choice of backgrounds which the developer says will be updated regularly.

Ball Slam Fantasy
Without a doubt this is the best brick breaker game to date. The graphics are awesome and the game play is perfect. If I could use just one word to describe this game it would be "FUN".

Spaceballs
This is the first screen grab that's not from my gameplay (grabbed from iTunes) I just really love this game and had to post before i could get to a higher level. I used to love playing Zuma on my computer. Now here it is ... better than ever as a new game called Spaceballs. If you've ever played Zuma on your computer then you must get this for your iPod Touch/iPhone ... I think ... you just might find ... like me... that it's as good ... or better. Buy it if you like Zuma ... you can't go wrong my friends!

Rune Memory
A very relaxing memory game. Great for both exercising and relaxing the brain. The developer calls this "your classic memory game with a pagan twist" and I agree. The music goes perfectly with the celtic garden and runes. There's no rush since you're not given a certain time to complete the puzzle, as with some match games, and there are no levels that become progressively harder. Your only competition, if you so desire, is to beat your own time.

Sway
I've had this on my iPod Touch for a couple of weeks now and although I haven't played it very much .... I intend to. There's just so many great games and so little time. This is a very high rated app and from what little I've played .... I can see why. The object of the game is to swing Lizzy by using the power of your thumbs to get through each world. The first time you play you will get lot's of help in the form of tutorials as you can see in my screen grab. Read all about it .... link below.

Bobby Carrot Forever
A beautiful puzzle adventure game. In each level you have to find your way through obstacles and traps to pick up all the carrots and get to the exit. It starts out pretty easy but gets tough soon.

MiZoo
If you are a fan of games like Bejewelled, Jewel Quest and Trism then you will love this game. The object is to swipe an animal towards another to swap places and make a match in a line of 3 or more but there's a twist with this match 3 game .... you can achieve the big points by making additional combinations of moves before the new animals from the previous match drop into place. This has been a long time favorite of mine since before there was an apple app store ..... when the only way to get games or apps was by jailbreaking your iPod Touch.

Build-a-Lot
Buy land, buy houses, build houses and sell houses. This is the real estate market on the iPhone or iPod Touch. I just got this game yesterday and started playing it last night. I wasn't to sure about buying it but I'm glad I did. Better than Sim City. Check it out it's on sale right now.

Enigmo
A beautiful 3D puzzle game where you direct streams of flower liquid into vessels by directing the flow into and onto objects that will redirect the flow. The physics in this game are incredible! For puzzle lovers this is a must have!

Flick Fishing
Flick Fishing now Flick Sport Fishing. Loved it before and even more now! Cast the line by flicking your wrist. Takes a skill to get the right bait, location and technique ..... then you you hook a fish you have the challenge of reeling it in without losing it. Great Game!!!

I'm sure you know about Amazon's Kindle book reader that costs around $300. It's a great electronic book reader but it doesn't fit into your pocket and you can't read it at night without a light .... with the Kindle for iPhone or iPod Touch you can. Now some people will argue that it's pretty small .... and it is .... but you'd be amazed how easy it is to read. You can choose a larger size font. So here's the deal .... the app is free and you can go to Amazon and get a free account if you don't already have one. Once you have it set up you can search their books and get a sample from any book for free! It won't cost you a single cent to try it out. You may be pleasantly surprised. I love it and I'm reading more than ever.

Another fun puzzle game. The object of the game is to roll a cube to stand it upright on a destination point without falling off the edges.

Photogene
A must have photo editor for the iPhone. Don't have an iPhone? Then upload your photos to your iPod Touch and edit away. This has a lot of the tools you'd find in Photoshop. You can crop, sharpen, adjust brightness, contrast and color with the Levels Histogram, gama correction, rotate, color saturation and much much more! I love this app!

Aki Mahjong
Lot's of Mahjong games in the app store. This is very relaxing (very zen-like) and is loaded with layouts.

Moonlight Mahjong
This is a beautiful 3D version of the game. You use your fingers on the screen to move the board around. I really like this a lot but it's not as easy to play as Aki Mahjong.

The Creeps
If you hang around a lot of seasoned game players you will hear them talk about "TD" games. TD means "Tower Defense". The object in a TD game is to defend your home base against invaders. You are given money to purchase defense weapons and must place them strategically throughout the game field to wipe out the invaders. You gain more money by destroying invaders. "The Creeps" is a great introduction into TD and a whole lot of fun. I took a quick screen grab before placing any weapons on the field so they are missing in my photo.

There's a few golf games in the app store and besides this one I have "GL Golf" but this one is really awesome and I took GL Golf off my iPod Touch and iPhone. This one's the keeper.

Big Bang Sudoku
From the application description: "Beautiful Art and Intuitive Gameplay" "Pencil Marks and a Hint Mode" "Statistics and Eons of Puzzles" "..... and a Fireworks Celebration when you win". All true! There's a lot of Sudoku games in the app store and I've tried several of them .... so far I like this the best.

Up There
After releasing a red balloon from a bird cage you guide the balloon to freedom by tilting the iPhone/iPod Touch back and forth to avoid barriers. Great artwork and music ..... soothing but challenging.

Guitar
Now this guitar app needs a little skill but even a beginner, with practice, can learn. This is probably one of the best guitar apps in the app store. One of the very cool things about this app is "AirPlay" which allows you (with internet connection) to listen to and then download other people songs that they created with Guitar ..... but wait ..... the better part of that is that you can play the song in the recorder function and see the notes played! Great way to learn a song!
